Chairman PTI Imran Khan's petition against NAB amendments has been fixed for hearing in the Supreme Court.

Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan's petition against NAB amendments has been fixed for hearing in the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court Registrar's Office has issued notices to all the parties in the NAB Amendments case.

A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Atta Bandial will hear the request of Imran Khan on January 10. The bench includes Justice Ejaz-ul-Ahsan and Justice Mansoor Ali Shah.

In the NAB amendments case, Imran Khan's lawyer Khawaja Haris has completed his arguments, and the federal government's lawyer Makhdoom Ali Khan will start his arguments at the next hearing.

It should be noted that on August 31 last year, former Prime Minister Imran Khan challenged the NAB amendments in the Supreme Court on behalf of the government.

In the petition, Imran Khan requested the Supreme Court that these amendments in the NAB law are contrary to the fundamental rights of Articles 9, 14, 19A, 24, and 25 of the Constitution. All these amendments made in the NAB law should be declared null and void.

The position was taken in the petition that the NAB law has been changed by those who made the amendments to protect themselves. After these amendments, the evidence from abroad will not be acceptable in the court.
