In the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, the police have arrested a man who searched on Google how to kill his wife.

According to Indian media, the police say that a man has been arrested for murdering his wife, who had searched "how to kill" on Google before the incident.

According to the Uttar Pradesh Police, the accused Vikas first tried to mislead the police by making the incident look like a robbery, but the police got some information from his mobile phone and then found more evidence related to the accused and his girlfriend.

Vikas, a resident of Modi Nagar in Ghaziabad district, had told the police that his wife was robbed on the National Highway near Hapur on Friday.

The police arrested Vikas on the spot based on suspicion. When the police checked Vikas's mobile during the investigation, they found things related to his involvement in the murder.

According to the police, Vikas had searched 'how to kill' on his mobile. According to the report, Vikas had also tried to buy poison from an online store while also searching for information on buying weapons on Google.

In a conversation with Indian media, the local police officer said that differences arose between Vikas and his wife after a few years of marriage due to Vikas's extramarital affairs.

According to the police, the differences between the two escalated to such an extent that it culminated in Sonia's murder by the conspiracy on Friday. The girlfriend of the arrested accused Vikas will be taken into custody soon.

The government has announced a reward of 25 thousand Indian rupees for the police team solving the murder mystery.
