The Lahore High Court has restrained the Election Commission of Pakistan from taking any action against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.

Lahore High Court judges Justice Jawad Hassan heard the petition of Chairman PTI and former Prime Minister Imran Khan against the action of the Election Commission on Thursday, January 5.

During the hearing, the Lahore High Court has for the second time stopped the Election Commission from removing Imran Khan from the party chairmanship and has issued a notice to the Election Commission of Pakistan and sought its response.

It should be noted that PTI Chairman Imran Khan has approached the Lahore High Court against the Election Commission. In the petition, Imran Khan challenged the action of the Election Commission against him.

Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan has taken a position in the petition filed against the Election Commission in the Lahore High Court that the Election Commission is taking action to remove the party from office by exceeding its powers.
