The Chief Justice remarked that ML-1 is a 9.8 billion dollar project which has been approved by ECNIC, ML-1 project has not been completed even with billions of dollars.
Justice Umar Atta Bandyal remarked that during the holidays, the railway has traveled in Sindh, flood water is still standing around the railway lines in Sindh, the rains were in summer and the water could not be removed till now, the railway officials said that The situation in Balochistan is worse than Sindh.

During the hearing, the Chief Justice remarked that people sit on railway lines all day because there is no barrier, why are railway lines not made safe like motorways so that no one can cross them?
The Chief Justice remarked that the railway is the lifeline of Pakistan, the train reaches the destination at any speed.
The Supreme Court called for a comprehensive plan to restore the railway system and make the railway profitable.
