According to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, it will be mandatory for those applying for Hajj this year to have a bank account in Pakistan.


Hajj applications are likely to be called by the end of February. After the cabinet approval, the Federal Minister of Religious Affairs will announce the final Hajj policy of 2023.


Pakistani machine-readable passports for Haj applicants will expire on 26 December 2023.


Meanwhile, Minister of Religious Affairs Mufti Abdul Shakoor has arrived in Jeddah to participate in the World Hajj Conference, where the participants will be briefed on modern Hajj arrangements and facilities in light of Saudi Vision 2030.


The Minister of Religious Affairs, Mufti Abdul Shakoor will also visit various institutions in addition to meeting with many important personalities including the Saudi counterpart.
