While addressing a seminar in Karachi, international experts said that in 2019, 5 million people have died due to the ineffectiveness of antibiotics.

A seminar titled 'Ek Nazar' was organized at the Dow University Ojha Campus in Karachi on the prevention measures (prophylaxis) of endocarditis, an infectious disease in the heart valve.
In the seminar, the principal of Dow International Medical College, Prof. Zeba Haq, and other local and foreign health experts also spoke.
Addressing the seminar, Dr. Zeba Haq said that there is a need to be careful in the use of antibiotic drugs and legislation should be enacted to prevent their unnecessary, unnecessary and excessive use.

Assistant Professor Cardiology Dr. Hashim Nadeem, while addressing the seminar, said that the effectiveness of medicines is decreasing due to unnecessary, unnecessary, and abundance. Antibiotics should be used as little as possible because of their potential risks and resistance.
Dr. Shamim Bahram, Consultant of Infectious Diseases of Indus Hospital, said in his address that the germs should be detected by doing a better diagnosis of the patients, after which the medicine should be prescribed accordingly.
During the speech at the seminar, other experts said that patients with common heart diseases do not need to be given antibiotics for infection, but patients with complex heart diseases should be given effective antibiotics as needed.
