Non-Buy Association will strike on January 12 against inflation

The flour crisis intensified throughout Punjab including Lahore. The mill owners increased the price by Rs 10 per kg, after which the rates went up to Rs 165 per kg. Mill owners also announced to increase in the price of bread.
The flour crisis is intensifying in Punjab, the government and district administration have failed miserably to maintain the prices. The mill owners once again increased the flour by Rs 10 per kg, after which the rates rose to Rs 160 per kg.
According to the report, an 80 kg sack of fine flour also became more expensive in a month and reached 12,600 after a total increase of 4,000. A 15 kg bag of flour is being sold at 2150 after an increase of 200 rupees.
Cheap government flour is missing from the market due to which the citizens are in distress and forced to buy expensive flour. Provincial Minister of Food Hasnain Bahadur Dreshk says that 23 thousand of metric tons of flour are being given daily at tracking points, where complaints of hoarding will be taken.
On the other hand, the United Non-Roti Association has announced that Naan will be Rs 40 and Simple Roti will be Rs 35 from January 16.
President Nanbai Association says that they will also strike on January 12 across Punjab against the increase in the prices of milled and fine flour.
