The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has reiterated its commitment to help Pakistan in difficult times.
Managing Director of the IMF, Kristalina Georgieva, telephoned the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, on Friday to express her sympathy and concern over the damage caused by the floods and assured of Pakistan's assistance in this difficult time.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif thanked IMF chief Kristalina Georgieva and invited her to attend the climate conference in Geneva.
Speaking at an event on Friday, Sharif confirmed that he had received a call from the IMF chief in which he made it clear that we cannot burden our people anymore.
Shahbaz Sharif asked Kristalina Georgieva to send the IMF delegation to Pakistan for talks and the talks are likely to start in the next three to four days.
