Recent research has shown that people who drink adequate amounts of water live longer than those who drink less.

According to research, an adult's body consists of about 60 percent water. The human brain and heart are 73% while the lungs are 83% water. This shows how important it is for us to drink water.

Physicians around the world emphasize that women should drink one and a half to two liters (6 to 9 glasses) of water a day, while men should drink 2 to 3 liters (8 to 12 glasses).

Experts say that the necessary amount of water in the body can be maintained with fruit juices or other healthy drinks in addition to plain water.

The US National Institute of Health has proven that people who drink adequate amounts of water live longer than those who drink less.

NIH experts have evaluated the daily routines of more than 11,000 people in the United States for 30 years and prepared a report based on this research.

According to research, the element called sodium is very important in our body, but its excess causes many diseases and an adequate amount of water in the body keeps the level of sodium low.

A normal adult has a serum sodium level of 135-146 milliequivalents per liter.

If the amount of serum sodium in our body is more than 142 milliequivalents per liter, it makes us suffer from many diseases like blood pressure, cholesterol, and diabetes.

These diseases also affect the rest of the body and the effects of aging become noticeable early.

Research has shown that people who drink adequate amounts of water have lower blood pressure, cholesterol, and diabetes and live longer than those who drink less water.
