Pakistan Customs recovered drugs worth Rs 17 crore from the secret vaults of the launch while operating in the open sea.


The anti-trafficking organization of Pakistan Customs Enforcement Collectorate Karachi has ecovered drugs worth Rs.17 crores


Customs officials say that the drug was skillfully concealed in 10 polythene packets wrapped in cotton bags kept in secret compartments of the launch.


According to the authorities, the seized drugs include 10 kg of crystal and 200 kg of hashish found in 20 bags, which is worth more than 17 crore rupees in the global market.


Customs officials said that the launch and drugs worth Rs 50 lakh used in smuggling have been shifted to ASO headquarters in Ghas Bandar.


According to officials, a case has been registered under the Customs Act, and further investigation is underway and efforts are on to nab those involved in the smuggling.
