The leaders of the PPP while giving a briefing to Asif Zardari said that in the second phase of local elections, the position of the PPP in Karachi and Hyderabad divisions is much better than in the past. 


A meeting of the PPP was held at Bilawal House Karachi regarding local body elections in which PP leaders briefed the party leadership on the possible results of the second phase of local body elections. 


Asif Zardari was told that the position of the PPP in the Karachi and Hyderabad divisions is much better than in the past, the constituencies are correct and the results are in favor of the PPP.


The PP leaders submitted a report to former President Asif Zardari in which it is said that out of 160 Union Councils of Hyderabad, PPP has won 27 UCs uncontested, MQM has not got candidates in 60 Union Councils of Hyderabad, 25 of Karachi. 


In the towns, the PPP has won 8 and is in a competitive position in 4. During the meeting, the provincial and local leadership of PPP once again requested not to postpone the local elections. 


In the briefing, it was also mentioned that PPP has won the local body elections of Sukkur, Mirpurkhas, Larkana, and Shaheed Benazirabad division in the first phase, due to the lack of second phase elections, even the successful candidates in the first phase could not take the oath.


On the other hand, to discuss the new constituencies in Karachi and Hyderabad, Federal Ministers Khawaja Asif, Rana Sanaullah, Saad Rafiq, and Ayaz Sadiq reached Karachi, where an important meeting was held at Bilawal House at 7 o'clock, in which Asif Zardari, Chief Minister Sindh. And other leaders will participate, and the delegation of MQM Pakistan will also participate in the meeting. 


According to the report, the PPP's legal team has also been invited to the meeting, from which opinions will be sought on the new constituencies. 


During the consultation of the PPP, provincial ministers told Asif Zardari that MQM wants constituencies. Former President Asif Zardari said that MQM should be taken together, as our doors are open in politics.
