The dollar became more expensive against the Pakistani rupee

Pakistan's foreign exchange reserves remained at 11,422 million US dollars

The value of the dollar has further increased against the Pakistani rupee. 


On Thursday, the dollar increased by 17 paise to close at 227 rupees 12 paise in the interbank market, the price of the dollar remained at 236 rupees in the open market. 


At the end of the business week on December 30, 2022, Pakistan's foreign exchange reserves stood at USD 11,422.5 million, of which the State Bank has USD 5,576.5 million and commercial banks have USD 5,846 million. 


During the last business week, State Bank's reserves decreased by USD 245 million due to external debt repayments.
