Established Senate Sub Committee for SpaceX Program

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has expressed security concerns over the SpaceX Starlink program.
A meeting of the Senate Standing Committee on Information Technology was held in Parliament House Islamabad under the chairmanship of Senator Kahida Babar.
During the meeting, PTA officials gave a briefing on the SpaceX Starlink program.
PTA officials said that SpaceX is an advanced technology and a means of providing the fastest internet, with this technology internet can be delivered to remote areas.
During the briefing, PTA officials raised security concerns over the SpaceX Starlink program.
The committee has set up a sub-committee for the SpaceX program, with Afnanullah and Zeeshan Khanzada as members.
During the meeting, the committee expressed concern over the problems related to internet service provision in Gwadar.
Senator Afnanullah directed that investors are coming to Gwadar to provide the best internet.
The committee members said that our children in Gwadar could not study due to a lack of internet during the Corona epidemic.
PTA authorities said that the service is closed in some areas due to security reasons. to be continued.
Officials further said that the 5800 km fiber optic project has been completed in Balochistan, and Pone is working on a Rs 2 billion fiber optic project for Gwadar.
