Pakistan has full right to defend itself against terrorism, America

They are evaluating what measures they can take against the decisions of the Taliban

US State Department spokesperson Ned Price says that it is Pakistan's right to defend against terrorism. The Afghan Taliban should fulfill their promises. 

In response to a question asked during the weekly press briefing at the US State Department on Tuesday, January 3, Spokesman Ned Price said that Pakistan is aware of the statements of National Security, that it is Pakistan's right to defend against terrorism.

He said that Pakistani people have suffered a lot from terrorist attacks, Afghanistan should not become a launching pad for terrorism, and Afghanistan should ensure that Afghan soil is not used for terrorism.

Ned Price also said that he is closely monitoring the situation in Afghanistan and also evaluating what steps to take against the Taliban's decisions. According to the American spokesman, the United States is determined for the betterment of the Afghan people, the Afghan Taliban are not fulfilling their promises, and NGOs and especially women should be allowed to work in Afghanistan. 

He further said that the United States and its allies should react to the decisions of the Taliban, G7 and other countries have also expressed concern.
