More than 38 people died as a result of the collision between the buses

More than 30 people died as a result of a collision between 2 passenger buses in the African country of Senegal.


According to the International News Agency, 2 passenger buses collided on the main highway near the city of Kafrin in the African country of Senegal in the early hours of Sunday morning.


Colonel Sheikh Faul, head of the National Fire Brigade, the official body overseeing the rescue operation in Senegal, said that there were a total of 125 passengers in the buses, of which 38 died on the spot while 87 were injured.


The dead bodies and the injured have been transferred to the hospital in Kafrin, the condition of many of the injured is said to be critical.


Colonel Sheikh Fal further said that the buses involved in the collision have been removed from the scene and the road has been restored for traffic.


Accidents are common in Senegal due to undisciplined drivers, bad roads, and dilapidated vehicles.
