Pakistan scored 154 runs for 3 wickets in response to New Zealand's 449 runs on the second day of the Karachi Test. 


The second and final match of the Test series between New Zealand and Pakistan is underway at the National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi. 


On the second day of play, New Zealand was bowled out for 449 runs in their first innings, while Pakistan scored 154 runs for 3 wickets by the end of the game. 


Shadows of the follow-on

Pakistan In response to New Zealand's 449 runs, Abdullah Shafiq and Imamul Haq came into the field for Pakistan. 


Another failed innings was added to Abdullah Shafiq's Test career. When he got out, Pakistan's score was 27 runs. Abdullah Shafiq was dismissed for 19 runs.


Imam-ul-Haq decided to push the score forward with Shan Masood, but on 56 runs, the courage of Shan Masood was answered, he could only score 20 runs. 


After Shaan's departure, Babar entered the field but could not live up to expectations. On a total score of 99, Babar Azam was run out and returned to the pavilion. He scored 24 runs. 


Imam-ul-Haq and Saud Shakeel tried their best to save Pakistan's boat stuck in the vortex, both took the score to 154 runs without getting out. 


By the end of the game, Imamul Haq scored 71 runs while Saud Shakeel scored 13 runs. Pakistan is still facing a deficit of 295 runs. 


Fantastic innings from New Zealand 


On the second day of the match, New Zealand resumed their first innings with 309 runs for the loss of 6 wickets, Tom Blundell was batting on 30 runs, and Ash Sodhi on 11 runs.


Ash Sodhi was the victim of Naseem Shah by scoring 11 runs, Tom Blundell was dismissed with 51 runs and Tim Southee with 10 runs, No. 10 player Ijaz Patel scored 35 runs while No. 9 player Matt Henry remained not out with 68 runs. 


On the first day of play Yesterday, New Zealand won the toss and started batting first. Thanks to Kiwi opener Tom Latham's 71 and Dion Convoy's brilliant 122, New Zealand ended the day at 309 for the loss of 6 wickets.
