The government has changed the development levy to maintain the prices of petroleum products, the levy on high-speed diesel has been increased, kerosene oil and light diesel oil have been reduced, and the development levy on petrol has been maintained.
The government has announced to maintain the prices of petroleum products from January 1 to 15, for which the development levy has been revised.
According to the report, the development levy on high-speed diesel has been increased by two and a half rupees per liter from Rs.30 per liter to Rs.32.50, while the development levy on petrol has been maintained at Rs.50 per liter.
The government has reduced the levy on kerosene by Rs 8 76 paisa per litre, after which the development levy has been reduced from Rs 13.10 to Rs 4 34 paisa per litre, the development levy on light diesel has also been reduced by Rs 7 76 paisa per litre. Later it was reduced from Rs 16.29 to Rs 8.56 per litre.
