Acknowledging the important demands of religious schools, the federal government has decided to lift the ban on opening bank accounts in religious schools.
Leaders of religious schools had an important meeting with Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif on Friday, January 6. In the meeting, the leaders of the religious schools informed the government about their concerns.
In the meeting of the leaders of the religious schools with the Prime Minister, it was decided that Section 21 will be added to the Registration Act. With this amendment to the Registration Act.
The Deputy Commissioners of the concerned district will be able to register madrasas. The Prime Minister also directed the Law Ministry to prepare the draft amendment soon.
In the meeting, it was also decided to remove the undeclared ban on opening bank accounts in religious schools.
