The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued instructions to the National Health Organization to conduct an awareness campaign regarding the new variant of the Coronavirus and to continue monitoring passengers coming from abroad.
An important meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chairman NDMA in which the National Health Organization and Civil Aviation Authority officials also participated.
During the meeting, the officials of the health department shared the statistics of anti-coronavirus measures and vaccinations, from the tests of passengers coming from foreign countries at all airports in the country, to daily vaccination and screening of those coming from Afghanistan at the Torkham border. Chairman NDMA expressed satisfaction over the anti-Corona strategy and directed the National Health Organization to issue an advisory for educational institutions and social gatherings.
The National Health Organization was ordered to continuously monitor the spread of the new variant in other countries along with weekly media briefings for public awareness.
