The Asian Cricket Council stated in response to Najam Sethi's tweet.

The Asian Cricket Council has said in a statement that it has come to our knowledge that chairman Najam Sethi has commented on the president of ACC, in which the creation and announcement of the calendar have been declared unilateral.

The Asian Cricket Council says the calendar was approved by the Development Committee Finance and Marketing, which was approved at a meeting on December 13, 2022.

The statement said that all the participants were individually informed about the calendar, the email of the calendar was sent on December 22, and responses were received from the member boards, but the comment from the Pakistan Cricket Board regarding Suggestions and edits was not received.

The Asian Cricket Council says that Pakistan Cricket Board chief Najam Sethi's statement on social media is baseless, which ACC strongly denies.

PCB Management Committee Chairman Najam Sethi commented on the announcement of the Asia Cup schedule by Secretary BCCI J Shah yesterday and said that the host of the Asia Cup is Pakistan, but you are working on it.

In an interview with Indian TV, he said that before announcing the Asian Cricket Council calendar, we could have been consulted.

Najam Sethi raised the question that if the decisions are to be made by the Asian Cricket Council alone, what is the need for the other members? The Asian Cricket Council said in the calendar year that this year's one-day format Asia Cup will be held in September, but where will it be held? It didn't say.
