The trade deficit decreased by 32.65% in the first 6 months of the fiscal year.
According to the report of the Federal Bureau of Statistics, the volume of trade deficit from July to December was 17 billion 13 million dollars, which was 25 billion 43 million dollars in the same period last year.
According to the report, in the first 6 months of the financial year, imports were a record 31 billion 38 million dollars compared to exports of 14 billion 24 million dollars. Exports decreased by 5.79% in six months while imports decreased by 22.64%.
According to the report, there was a decrease of 3.64% in exports in December compared to November. In December, the volume of domestic exports reached 2 billion 30 million dollars, which is a decrease of 16.64% in exports compared to December 2021.
