CTD arrested 5 terrorists of outlawed TTP and recovered arms and ammunition from their possession.
The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) foiled a terror plot in Lahore, Sahiwal, and Gujranwala by arresting five terrorists during a secret operation.
According to the CTD spokesperson, during the operation on a tip-off, 5 terrorists arrested from the three cities, who belong to the outlawed TTP, and they were identified as Inamul Haq, Maskeenullah, Wahid Khan, Sher Naqeeb, and Shah. It is done in the name of saints.
CTD officials said explosives, weapons, and equipment for making suicide jackets were recovered from the terrorists' possession, and they had planned to target sensitive locations in Lahore, Gujranwala, la, and Sahiwal.
According to the CTD spokesperson, four cases have been registered against the arrested terrorists, and a combing operation will be conducted on the revelations during further investigation.
